Summer is well underway, and it’s about time that you finally do what you promised yourself you would do all year long – really get off your couch and take advantage of the great experiences that Minneapolis has to offer. Building a summer that you’ll remember for the rest of your life requires a lot of different ingredients, but one of the most important ingredients is definitely Minneapolis’s nightlife. There are a ton of great bars, clubs, and theaters in the Cities where you can enjoy drinks and shows of all kinds, but if you’re looking to lose yourself in the music and dance the night away in a sea of people, look no further than downtown at The Exchange.
If you’ve had the pleasure of partying at The Exchange or keep up with our blog, you know we’re a lit nightclub with a massive dancefloor, two full bars, and a top-of-the-line audio system where you can let loose with delicious drinks and some of the best DJs in the country. But what you may not know is that one of the ways we ensure you get the premier nightclub experience at The Exchange is through our partnerships with elite club promoters and music promoters. Today two of our personal favorites will be in the spotlight—and most popular—partners, both of which you’ll definitely want to hear about if you’re interested in actually diving headfirst into your summer before it’s too late.
XO has partnered with The Exchange for ages, and this year is no different. This summer XO has already thrown a variety legit parties at the Exchange, from the Memorial Day Bash to the Gemini SZN Zodiac Bash, the 2000s Juke Jam, and the Summer Jam!, and have also brought in names like Rubi Rose to help fans celebrate the 34th Annual Eritrean Sports Festival and soccer tournament in June and July. These events were all a part of our weekly XO Sundays, hosted by Dolo Harris with music by DJ Ones. You’ll be glad to know that there will be plenty more XO Sundays to come this summer.
In fact, the 2000s Juke Jam was the end of our 21+ XO Sundays for the summer. The return of our 18+ XO Sundays is now in full swing, and people couldn’t be happier. 18+ XO Sundays boast a free cover charge until 11 PM with an RSVP, $3 shots until 11 PM and bottle specials until midnight, as well as a variety of other bottle specials depending on the week. If you’re under 21 and have been itching to get back into the Exchange, now’s your chance! And if you’re over, well . . . you can’t be the premium drink deals and bottle service that will complete your VIP experience.
The massively popular TC Presents has been producing major festivals and concerts in and around Minneapolis and St. Paul for over a decade. They host over 80 events a year, working with giant artists like Skrillex, The String Cheese Incident, the Jerry Garcia Band, Flux Pavilion, Adventure Club, Tipper, and many more. If you partied at the Infrared Sound Festival, Amplitude, Sexy Party, Real Trap Sh*t, or the Safe in Sound Festival, you’ve seen the kind of killer events they can pull off. And so does everyone else around the Twin Cities: TC Presents consistently sells out the events they host.
This summer, TC Presents is partnering with The Exchange and Alibi Lounge to bring you a DJ set from British dubstep trio NERO. If you’re new to NERO and want to hear what all the fuss is about before you see them with us live, check out their album Welcome Reality (2010-12), which went to #1 on the UK Albums Chart. You’ll also want to give Between II Worlds (2013-2016) a listen; its “Into the Past” was featured on the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby (2013), so you know it slaps. They’ve also worked with other big names such as Skrillex and Muse.
The point is simple: you’re not going to want to miss your chance to throw down with some world-class musicians at a world-class venue. So come down to The Exchange to see these Grammy award-winning DJs in a 21+ show on Friday, August 19 at 9 PM. Get your tickets now at tc-presents.com!

It’s one thing to skip out on any old run-of-the-mill nightclub or bar. There’s no need to settle for that, though: come see us at The Exchange for weekly events where you can make plenty of memories, and make yourself glad you decided to seize the summer before it slipped away. The Exchange is the place to be this July and August—and beyond.
